This database includes Sites and Facilities that DNREC-RS is cleaning up to acceptable human-health and environmental risk levels, and supporting the continued safe use, reuse or enhanced productive use of remediated properties. Thereby, this database includes Sites and Facilities in the following programs: HSCA Enforcement, HSCA-lead, Brownfield Program, Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Long-Term Stewardship (LTS), and Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR).
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The Delaware Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA) [7 Del. Code Chapter 91] gives the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) the authority to ensure cleanup of facilities with a release or imminent threat of release of hazardous substances. HSCA and the associated Regulations Governing Hazardous Substance Cleanup (7 DE Admin. Code 1375) govern several programs including enforcement and State-lead sites, Brownfields Program, Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Long-Term Stewardship (LTS), and Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR). The DNREC-Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances – Remediation Section (DNREC-RS) is tasked with overseeing the compliance of laws and associated regulations. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Editable layer on Apps WHS_EDIT_SP service.
